Can You Just Use My Business Card For Artwork?

Possibly. If the only artwork you have for your set-up is a business card make sure to indicate what text can be eliminated. Instead of including details like your phone number, location and address, focus on your business name and possibly a small, simple image and tag line. If you avoid the temptation to include too much information your embroidered logo will look more professional.

If your logo is in a vector art format it can be sized down to whatever size you want but that doesn't mean it can be embroidered at that small size.

Check the spelling, colors, placement, sizing and other important details. Your left chest embroidered logo should be readable from a three foot distance.

What is kerning? Kerning is the spacing of letters from one letter to another. A printed item that's properly kerned has the right amount of space between each letter so the word reads smoothly and looks good. How does kerning effect embroidery? Embroidered text must also be kerned but its often adjusted slightly so the connector threads (individual threads connecting one letter to the next) aren't too visible. In other words, embroidered letters are often spaced more closely so the connector threads aren't seen and the text looks good.
