Embroidery News Style Focus:  Polos with UV Protection

K527 and L527 Polos for men and women
  • K497 / L497 - 4.1-ounce, 100% polyester polos (partially made from bamboo charcoal) with a UPF rating of 50 to resist UV rays and wick away moisture.  These polos adjust to your body temperature.
  • K527 / L527 - 5.2-ounce, 100% polyester polos with a UPF rating of 40. The ladies polo has a 3-button, set-in placket with offset buttons and button loops.

 

 

What Is a UPF Rating?

UPF stands for "ultraviolet protection factor rating system". K527 polosThis system measures the amount of UV protection provided by a fabric. It is similar to the SPF rating system given to sunscreens. The K527 / L527 polo has a UPF of 40 so it only allows 1/40th of the UV radiation falling on the shirt to pass through it.
