What Size Should My Embroidered Logo Be For Baseball Hats?

The embroidered area on the front of baseball hats is limited to 4" wide x 2" high and slightly higher for high profile hats. If your logo is larger then it must be simplified for embroidery.

Recommended Hat For Screen Printing?

Use a 5 panel hat. That way there won't be a center front seam so you can get a clean print.

Can You Increase the Size of My Hat Design?

Possibly. A few times a year someone calls saying they had caps embroidered by another embroiderer and they are unhappy with how small the design is.

My first response is, "How tall is the design?" When the caller doesn't know the size I explain that hat designs are limited to 2.25" - 2.5" high and if they are any taller the quality of the embroidery is often poor. Then I mention that they've probably seen sports team hats with larger designs but those hats were embroidered before being assembled. So, having a larger design is possible if the hats are embroidered prior to assembly but that's only feasible for very large orders.
