Ever wonder how your artwork file is translated into a stitch file that is read by an embroidery machine? Is it an automatic process? No! There are several steps involved:
Your artwork is sized and checked to make sure all the design elements will work for embroidery. Often secondary text is too small and must be eliminated, enlarged or embroidered in an easy-to-read font such as a block font.
Next a digitizer uses your artwork as a template to create a stitch file. This file is created by assigning different stitch types, lengths and directions to areas in your design.
The correct colors are added to your stitch file and a color is given to the background (area representing the color of the pocket polo). The image is often automatically converted to a 3D image so it looks more like an embroidered design.
An image of your embroidery set-up proof along with its measurements is sent to you so you can check the colors, sizing, spelling and general layout of the design.
Once your digitized design is approved it is saved in a stich file format that can be read by an embroidery machine. This file is loaded into an embroidery machine and the correct thread colors are assigned to different elements of your design. Finally a test swatch is embroidered to make sure the thread colors are correct and everything looks good.
After the introduction of 100% polyester performance polos it became hard to find pocket polo styles because pockets didn't work with the athletic look of performance polos. But today there are more available styles. You can find pocket polo shirts in performance polyester, silk touch, bend, industrial strength and 100% cotton fabric styles.
Let us know if you need help locating a pocket polo style. We'll work with you to provide you with excellent quality custom embroidered pocket polo shirts!
